Errata
Colour Blindness: Causes and Effects contains few errors. They will be posted to the web site as they come to light. The author would like to hear of any further errors.

Errors
p23, Figure 8 The labels 'rods' and 'cones' are reversed.
p144, Figure 35 The labels 'spectral' and 'monochromatic' are reversed.
The narrow pass filter is monochromatic
p150, line 19 Replace 'pendulum' with 'phenomenon'

Clarifications
p20, line 8 The text states that the lens of the eye forms an image on the
retina. This ignores the major contribution to image formation of
the curved surface of the cornea.
p22, line 9 The text states that dark adaptation reaches maximum sensitivity in
30 minutes. It would be more helpful to say that dark adaptation is
substantially complete in 10 minutes, with maximum sensitivity
after half an hour.
p40, line 27 The book ascribes large field trichromacy to a contribution from rods.
Recent research identifies a contribution from parafoveal anomalous cones.
p77, line 8 It is possible to obtain anomaloscopes that can carry out both Rayleigh
and Moreland matches. See Oculus
